I was wondering if anyone else had seen failure of a slot. I moved the GPU out of slot one, which is not ideal, but so far seems stable. Put the GPU into another slot and see if the same thing happens. If it is a loose slot then I guess you could RMA the board. If it's the video card you could RMA that. I don't think there is a quick/dirty solution to a problem like this.
Newer had announced a 4400 version awhile back but didn't expand into the 6400 world. Sonnets pricing is very aggresive compared to Vimages also.
